Melling Engine Timing Damper Adapter Bracket

Made in USA. Melling offers a timing chain damper adapter bracket for the early GM LS engines. The timing chain damper adapter bracket allows the use of LS2 timing chain dampers on any GM LS engine block. The bracket uses the 3 lower cam/thrust retainer plate bolts for attachment. Timing chain dampers provide a small amount of tension on the timing chain to keep it from "whipping" during gear changes. The dampers are manufactured from OE-quality plastic and include mounting bolts. Every Melling timing chain damper adapter bracket is manufactured from high quality steel and is designed to provide long lasting worry free performance.
